Landlord EICRs & Safety Certificates in Motherwell
Motherwell has a large rented sector and a lot of older housing to go with it, much of it built for the steel industry and its workforce and never fully rewired since. That combination is exactly why landlord testing matters here: the tenant has no way of knowing what is behind the walls, and the duty to find out sits with the landlord.
Scottish landlords must keep a rented property electrically safe, and the EICR is how that is evidenced. We test the full installation, code every finding by urgency, and hand over the formal certificate with a plain-English summary and copies ready for tenants or your letting agent. If anything fails we price the remedial work clearly and re-issue a satisfactory report once it is done.

Your questions, answered
How much does a landlord EICR cost?
UK market rates for a small flat or house are usually around £150 to £250, with larger properties and HMOs higher. Several properties booked together normally works out better per property.
When should I have it done?
Rented homes need testing regularly, and a change of tenancy is the easiest window. Tell us the void dates and we will work to them.
What if it comes back unsatisfactory?
It only means items need attention. We explain them plainly, price the work and re-issue a satisfactory report once it is put right.
Ready for electrics done properly?
Competitive prices, certified work and an immaculate finish, on every single job.
