A retail fit-out lives or dies on the programme. The unit has a handover date, the other trades are working to it, and the electrical first fix has to be ready when they need it rather than when it suits us. We fit out retail units across Glasgow city centre and the surrounding shopping parks, from a single new unit to a full strip-out and refit.
That means containment and cable tray in first, distribution boards and sub-mains sized for what the tenant is actually installing, then lighting schemes, tills, shutters, signage supplies and the data containment the fit-out contractor needs. Everything is installed to BS 7671 and fully certified, and we work in with the shopfitter and the other trades rather than around them.
